A word about security

-

Mobile and digital wallet payment technologies are typically considered safer than cash or credit cards since a thief can’t just use a stolen card or skimmed number. Even merchants don’t see your financial info, eliminating that as an avenue for data thieves as well. For example, a unique token is created each time you make a transaction with Apple Pay, and you need to use Face ID or Touch ID to verify your identity. Obviously, it’s a little tougher to steal a face or fingerprints than it is a card number or PIN code. But that doesn’t mean there aren’t any security concerns, so keep track of your phones and devices, and be aware that they can be affected by malware.
