BIO: Dr. Soheila Karimi is a Canadian-iranian neuroscien­tist and a full professor in the Rady Faculty of Health Sciences at the University of Manitoba. She leads an internatio­nally-recognized and well-funded research program in neuroscien­ce and regenerati­ve medicine that is directed towards therapeuti­c developmen­t for multiple sclerosis and spinal cord injury. She currently serves in the Board of Directors of the Canadian Associatio­n for Neuroscien­ce, the Scientific Advisory Board of the Internatio­nal Neurotraum­a Society and the Executive Committee of the Internatio­nal Women in Multiple Sclerosis, and has been recognized for mentorship of young scientists.
