BIO: Dr. Soheila Karimi is a Canadian-iranian neuroscientist and a full professor in the Rady Faculty of Health Sciences at the University of Manitoba. She leads an internationally-recognized and well-funded research program in neuroscience and regenerative medicine that is directed towards therapeutic development for multiple sclerosis and spinal cord injury. She currently serves in the Board of Directors of the Canadian Association for Neuroscience, the Scientific Advisory Board of the International Neurotrauma Society and the Executive Committee of the International Women in Multiple Sclerosis, and has been recognized for mentorship of young scientists.
