Making costume history Ottawa Stories Costume Ball is celebratin­g the city’s 150th anniversar­y with a night of dancing, dinner and a live auction. Guests are required to show up as their favourite legendary Ottawa character and prizes will be rewarded for the best dressed. Party organizers suggest dressing up as assassinat­ed politician Thomas D’Arcy McGee, outspoken feminist Charlotte Whitton or heartthrob Paul Anka. Money raised will go towards preserving the Bytown and Nepean Museums.
