Making costume history Ottawa Stories Costume Ball is celebrating the city’s 150th anniversary with a night of dancing, dinner and a live auction. Guests are required to show up as their favourite legendary Ottawa character and prizes will be rewarded for the best dressed. Party organizers suggest dressing up as assassinated politician Thomas D’Arcy McGee, outspoken feminist Charlotte Whitton or heartthrob Paul Anka. Money raised will go towards preserving the Bytown and Nepean Museums.
