As rapper Lil’ Kim, below, enters jail for her 366- day punishment for perjury, the New York Daily News is asking how her new album, The Naked Truth, got the highest rating — five microphones — from The Source magazine. Asks the News: “Does it have anything to do with the longstanding romantic relationship between Kim’s manager, Hillary Weston, and Source founder and CEO Dave Mays?” That groping charge against Christian Slater was suddenly dismissed at the pretrial motions stage in New York Monday. You remember: Slater was accused of grabbing some normal woman’s backside during an after- midnight argument with his girlfriend in a corner store last May 31. The misdemeanour charges he faced could, in theory, have led to jail time. This summer, offered a wrist-slap fine to plead guilty, Slater refused, and fought the charge. Asked this week if he had actually groped the woman, he just laughed. I guess the dismissal must mean he’s totally innocent. I mean, why else would such a case suddenly go away? The Sopranos under the name Jamie Lynn Sigler, changing it when she married her manager, A. J. Discala. Now, says the New York Post, she is believed

to have dumped the guy,

and has been seen

canoodling in public

with one Keith

Collins, who has one

of those jobs that

they only seem to

have in New York,

as a “ party prom o t e r . ”
