Pig Island is on French river, which was declared Canada’s first Heritage river in 1986, says listing agent richard Ling.

French river is between Killarney Provincial Park and Lake Nippissing and southeast of Sudbury.

Pig Island “is the original site for the French river Fish & Game Club. The immediate neighbour is a descendent of the founder,” Mr. Ling says.

The irregular lot has 153 feet of water frontage and of- fers a tranquil and pristine setting.

It is within about 15 minutes of the Hartley Bay Marina, he says. The fullservice marina has access to the lower part of French river, an access point for the French river Provincial Park, says the marina’s website.

“The river offers trout and salmon fishing,” Mr. Ling says. “Substantial estates are cropping up along the water.”

The 1.5-storey cottage has four bedrooms, one bathroom and a great room. eighteen-foot ceilings and floor-toceiling windows overlooking the lake are other highlights.

A wrap-around deck and a 40-foot dock are features of the property. Listing Broker: Harvey Kalles Real Estate Ltd. (Richard Ling)
