A copycat boycott

-

Re: University Seeks Halt To Israel Boycott, March 6. I suspect the driving intent of today’s university provocateurs to boycott, divest from and sanction Israel is, at minimum, to agitate the macabre situation by bringing attention to themselves. To that extent, they have more than already succeeded.

Their objective doesn’t seem to be of any more importance than simply bringing awareness to their notorious cause, in any desperate way they can.

The perennial disgrace of “Israeli Apartheid Week” at the University of Toronto and York University has shown us the corrosive effects of enabling administrators, professors, patrons and students alike. The latest copycat action by the student alliance at the University of Windsor is just another malignant byproduct.
