It appears Michael Sam is ready to resume his pro football career. The Alouettes said Friday that Sam has returned to Montreal and is expected to attend team meetings Sunday before resuming practice Monday. Sam abruptly left the club during training camp earlier this month without explanation. The Alouettes placed Sam on their suspended list after his departure. The six-foot-two, 260-pound Sam, the CFL’s first openly gay player, signed with Montreal in May.
