Proper screening
Re: No Easy Task To Remove Racist Mounties; From Homeless To Home, both, Dec. 11. Commissioner Bob Paulson has publicly acknowledged that the RCMP has not only been unable to prevent racists from being inducted into its ranks, but also that it has had great difficulty in removing them, even after they have been identified.
Checking the backgrounds of refugees is incomparably more challenging than screening applicants for the RC MP. Syrian refugees are Arabic speakers from a failed state where pernicious ideology abounds. When Canada’s federal police are unable to adequately screen their recruits, how can Canadians be expected to believe government assurances that Syrian refugee applicants will be properly screened?
