‘Sorrow and grief ’

-

Re: Burkina Faso Victim’s Husband Hangs Up On Trudeau, Jan. 22. As a Canadian Ahmadi Muslim, my heart is full of sorrow and grief for the victims of the Burkina Faso attacks — especially for the Quebecers who went there for humanitarian purposes. Despite the historical tensions between Quebec and the rest of Canada, I am sure that all Canadians resonate with the same deep level of sympathy for the victims, and offer nothing but complete support for their families. These moments of tragedy define us as a nation, and I am confident that we Canadians will abide by our values of love, compassion and empathy, and not retaliate with further violence.
