HACKING THE HARD GOODS

Ikea hacks exist all over the world, on virtually all their products. Just Google “Ikea hacks” or search Pinterest or Instagram for a wide range of creative fixes to their bookcases and cabinetry. Companies such as Bemz.com specialize in upgrading specfic categories, like slipcovers for Ikea seating. Now comes Superfront.com, which makes fabulous cover panels for the vast range of Ikea cabinets. Made in Sweden, the surfaces are high quality, in stunning rich colours and the details, such as legs and hardware, are available in brass, copper, marble, birch and leather. Sadly, they are only shipping legs and handles to Canada at this point, but it can’t be long before our demand for their product changes their minds. We’re thinking of having ours sent to an international shipper straight from Superfront, budget be damned.
