WOMAN JOKED SHE WOULD CHECK HER $60M TICKET

- Owen Sound Sun-Times

Joan Patterson plans to re- fence her ranch now she is $60 million richer. The Desboro, Ont., woman was introduced at the OLG Prize Centre in Toronto Wednesday as the jackpot winner from the Feb. 5 Lotto Max draw. She also hopes to buy a new horse trailer, a silver Corvette and add to her home — but overall nothing much will change. “We had a really nice life anyway … but apart from doing a few things we want to do, I don’t think it is going to be all that different, to be honest,” she said. Patterson, 63, pictured, didn’t check her ticket until 12 days after the draw — she had been on vacation, horseback riding in Arizona. She returned home and on Feb. 17 checked her ticket. She jokingly told her husband Jim she was “going to go and see about my $60-million ticket.”
