Sick of government
Re: Republicans: Look In The Mirror, Kelly McParland, March 3.
Kelly McParland’s asser- tion the Republicans set out to thwart Barack Obama’s agenda and limit his presidency to one term may be true on its face, but does not explain the fact Americans repudiated Obama’s policies in the most recent midterm elections by giving the GOP majorities in both the House of Representatives and the Senate. Clearly, voters wanted to put the brakes on Obama’s ambitions, or they would have given the Democrats more power, not less.
Many Americans are angry Obama has still succeeded in getting his way via procedural intrigue and executive orders, despite a Republican congressional majority. Simply put, they are sick and tired of the fact that their government appears to be run for the benefit of insiders, and the cosy deals they make among themselves.
