THE TAMING OF THE SHREW
National Post theatre critic Robert Cushman declared last summer’s The Taming of the Shrew at Stratford “love at last sight,” as in; you will fall in love with this performance of William Shakespeare’s 1590 comedy before you go home. Now the performance — with Deborah Hay as Katharina and Ben Carlson as her suitor, Petruchio — has been captured on film by director Barry Avrich, and plays at participating Cineplex cinemas on March 12 and March 17.
