People walk on the monumental installation The Floating Piers, created by artist Christo Vladimirov Javacheff, on Italy’s Iseo Lake last weekend. Some 200,000 floating cubes were used to create a three-kilometre runway connecting the village of Sulzano to the island of Monte Isola for a 16-day installation. The walkway will change colour depending on weather conditions, temperature and moisture.
