WHEN THE CUSTOMER IS ALWAYS RIGHT (OR AT LEAST CLEAN)

-

Luxury realtors have seen a lot in their business, on both buyer and seller sides. They say unique requests go up with the house prices. Some oddball “buyers” appear, such as the guy who waltzed in to a $2-million open house and took a 15-minute shower. When the agent asked through the locked door what was going on, he said he was cleaning the tub. When he left, he was squeaky clean and in a new set of clothes, the Los Angeles Times reports. Another owner who was meant to be out of the country stood naked and holding a glass of wine when the agent entered the house with a key and her clients. It was 10 a.m., and all he said was “Hello, darling.” One buyer asked to stay the night and have a bath (she did, and she bought). And one couple came to their own open house to gush over every room so potential buyers could hear (they fooled no one).
