THE MODEL SUITE AT PIER 27 OPTS TO HIGHLIGHT OUTDOORS LISA VAN DE VEN

-

To highlight the lake views, stager Ella Zetser needed the right backdrop for Model Suite 422 at Pier 27. Too much colour might clash, she says, so she opted instead for a white palette, letting the vistas take centre stage and adding pops of colour just for detail. The yellow and purple accents add to a transitional design meant to appeal to move-up buyers and families. “It’s large and appeals to a higher-end buyer,” says the president of The Last Detail Home Staging. “It feels luxurious.” Suites at the Cityzen Development Group and Fernbrook Homes site range from 1,298 to 4,474 square feet and from $1,068,000 to $5,193,000. The sales office is located at 25 Queens Quay E., Toronto, and opens Monday to Thursday from noon to 6 p.m., Friday by appointment, and weekends from noon to 5 p.m. Call 416-367-3456 or visit pier27tower.com. 1 “They could go either way,” Zetser says of these white leather sofas. Featuring chrome legs and a tailored design, they could easily set the tone for a more contemporary space, but the plush yellow and grey pillows help create a more transitional vibe. 2 A simple, sleek coffee table in glass and chrome doesn’t distract from the views outside — but is big enough to balance the full-size sofas. “I wanted it to be modern, but not too modern,” Zetser says. A white shag area rug anchors the living space. 3 Narrow nightstands leave plenty of room for a king-size bed, while the mirrored finish adds glitz to the master bedroom. They’re paired with transitional glass-and-chrome lamps and sepiatoned photos of Venice above the bed. 4 “I wanted contrast,” the stager says, so she opted for this black velvet headboard with stud detailing. It not only creates contrast against the lighter walls, but introduces texture to the bedroom space. Crisp white bedding and purple accents complete the look.
