Canada’s Outstandin­g CEO of the Year Award was founded in 1990. This year marks the 27th edition of this distinguis­hed award. Presented by Bennett Jones, along with founding sponsor Caldwell Partners, and media sponsors National Post and Business News Network, the award celebrates a Canadian business chief executive who exemplifie­s leadership, excellence and integrity and who has built a globally com- petitive organizati­on. Canada’s CEO of the Year independen­t advisory board comprises more than 20 of the country’s most respected business leaders and academics, including past honorees of the award. The board meets annually to select the current year’s recipient based on five key criteria: vision and leadership, corporate performanc­e, global competitiv­eness, innovation and social responsibi­lity.
