Finally we have a political figure ready to take on the behemoth state broadcaster. This so-called sacred cow has been untouchable for decades with the former Harper government nipping slightly around the edges. In a time when other media outlets are drastically cutting costs and barely surviving, this present government decides to increase the CBC’s already obscene funding. Bernier means business and hopefully he will get the chance to carry out his plan. Stephen Flanagan, Ottawa.
