When your best friend produces a gorgeous book about trail - blazing Canadians, what do you do? You shout it from the rooftops!

Holt Renfrew and Alexandra Weston recently welcomed thought- leaders, influencer­s and change- makers to celebrate co- authors Kimberley Bozak and Rita Field-Marsham and the launch of Glorious & Free: The Canadians ( House of Anansi Press).

This love- letter to the country features profiles, photograph­s and illustrati­ons that shine the spotlight on inspiring Canadians who have embraced their freedom of expression. The response was incredible and elbow room in short supply.

Bright l i ghts l i ke Liane Thomas, Bruno Guevermont, Mosha Lundström Halbert, Matthew Romeo and Alex Josephson were all profiled in the book and on hand to take part in the celebratio­ns.

Glorious & Free: The Canadians is now available at all H Project shops across Canada ( Bloor, Yorkdale, Calgary and Vancouver) and online at HoltRenfre­w. com. Holt Renfrew is donating $ 10 from the sale of every book to PEN Canada. All of the beautiful people came out to Canada’s Louis Vuitton flagship store on Toronto’s mink mile for the launch of their Tambour Horizon wristwatch.

Benoit Louis Vuitton ( yes, we can call him “our own” as he calls Toronto home for now) welcomed cool clientele, many of whom left the party with little brown bags. As one might imagine, travel played and important role in the design and function of the fashion label’s first smart-watch.

The fab gadget includes an exclusive app function, “My Flight,” which monitors all things jet-set including airport departure times, terminal and gate informatio­n, reports of delays and more.
