Liberal conceits

-

Re: Superior Liberal conceits die hard, Andrew Coyne, Oct. 5 Liberals think themselves on the side of the angels ( without necessarily having to believe in angels) and absolutely on the side of the Right (without having to believe there is any absolute Right).

Many of them think the mere passage of time guarantees that what they think today is better than what was thought yesterday, or that their opponents ever thought. After all, “It’s 2015” — oops — 2017, etc. Diversity is their mantra — as long as your voice in their diverse world agrees that the Liberals’ voice is best and trumps all others. It’s entertaining, but potentially devastating in its consequences. The Liberals’ precipitous drop in the polls is at least a light at the end of what we can hope is a relatively short tunnel.
