November 2, 1987 — Members of the Winnipeg rock band The Guess Who were inducted into the Canadian Music Hall of Fame. When the band recorded a cover of the British hit “Shakin’All Over” in 1965, producer George Struth released it to radio stations under the name Guess Who?, hoping that radio DJs would play a song by a mysterious British band. The name stuck, and the band became one of the most famous Canadian acts.
