HOUSE OF CARDS IN LIMBO AFTER SPACEY DEPARTURE
What’s actually in the cards for Netflix’s former tent- pole drama, House of Cards? Production for the political drama that once starred embattled actor Kevin Spacey has been on hiatus since sexual misconduct allegations against Spacey, pictured, surfaced one month ago. In response, Netflix and the show swiftly cut ties with Spacey, and the sixth ( and final) season of House of Cards halted filming in Baltimore. While on hiatus, the production company responsible for the show, Media Rights Capital, had been paying its crew of about 250 to 300 people. On Monday, the company announced that it would extend their hiatus pay for the next two weeks, according to the Baltimore Sun, meaning the cameras are still off — for now.
