SPEEDSKATING COACH TAKES A LEAVE
National team head coach Michael Crowe is on a leave of absence “until at least after the Olympics,” according to Speed Skating Canada.
The organization said in an emailed statement on Tuesday that it has launched an internal investigation, but would not say whether Crowe’s leave of absence was prompted by a complaint from an athlete, coach or staff member. Crowe, 64, joined the Canadian national team in 2007 and was promoted to head coach of the Canadian team in 2015.
