Three more accuse Piven of sexual misconduct

Eight women have implicated Entourage actor

Three more women have come forward, in a Buzzfeed report published Saturday, accusing Entourage star Jeremy Piven of sexual misconduct.

Piven had previously been accused of sexually inappropriate behaviour by five other women. His most recent series, Wisdom of the Crowd, was cancelled shortly after those allegations surfaced.

One of the women to come forward this weekend, Susan McCain Olson, was an extra on the 1985 film Lucas, Piven’s first movie. She claims he followed her into a trailer, pushed her onto a couch and attempted to kiss her while molesting her.

She said, “At one point, I kind of was like, ‘ This is it, this is where I’m going to get raped. I kept trying to push him away. I was like, ‘ No, get off me.’”

Olsen said she was able to leave the situation, but that she never reported it because she was afraid she would lose her job, and as an extra, felt she didn’t have the power to be heard. She said, “I didn’t want to stick around to find out what else was going to happen.”

Another woman, who remained anonymous, recalled an incident in 1994, when she met Piven during a film shoot in Montreal. She said she had offered to help show him around town, making it clear there were no romantic connotations, but when she met him at his hotel, he pinned her against a wall, attempting to kiss her. She was able to leave, adding, “I guess he thinks he’s this actor and he can do whatever the hell he wants to people. As a woman … you deal with this kind of thing all the time. But this was a little more violent than the other things that have happened to me.”

The third i ncident i nvolved actress Diane Gonzalez on the 1996 set of the series Ellen. She recalled Piven inviting her to his home for drinks, but then unexpectedly exposing himself to her, and then aggressively carrying her into the bedroom and pinning her to his bed, growing increasingly forceful even as she repeatedly said she wanted to leave.

Piven released a statement through his lawyers, denying all allegations of sexual misconduct, which now total eight: “These allegations, which in one case goes back more than 30 years and the two others more than 20 years ago, are false. As evidenced by the lie detector test I took and passed, I have never forced myself on anyone, nor have I ever exposed myself or restrained anyone against their will. To the contrary, if any woman ever said no, I stopped.”
