De la Renta and Evangelista make Holt Renfrew glow
It was over to Holt Renfrew for a fabulous luncheon to celebrate honoured guests Eliza Bolan, Alex Bolen, Laura Kim and Fernando Garcia, the brains and beauty behind the spring 2018 Oscar de la Renta collection. The swish afternoon included a private luncheon, hosted by the Hon. Hilary M. Weston at Holts Café Bloor Street, along with an informal fashion presentation and trunk show.
“My husband and I were lucky to have called Mr. de la Renta a friend,” enthused Mrs. Weston when welcoming his family to Toronto. “One of my favourite quotes of his is, ‘Elegance is a discipline of life’ – a
mantra I believe he truly embodied. Oscar was a true fashion icon and he will live on in our memories forever.” Needless to say, the trunk show was a roaring success as everyone played dress-up and left with a fashionable frock or two. What a thrill to meet model Linda Evangelista – one of the original SUPERS! She was in town for the exclusive launch of revolutionary skincare brand Erasa, of which she is the Creative Director. The Holt Renfrew Café was transformed with luscious arrangements of pink and blush peonies, ranunculus and hydrangea, inspiring hope that spring may just be around the corner.
