THREE KILLED AT SITE OF EARLIER HIGHWAY COLLISION

Three people were killed when a vehicle crashed into the scene of an earlier accident on an Alberta highway Thursday night. Police said a pickup truck turning north onto Highway 611 near Maskwacis, 70 kilometres south of Edmonton, collided with a motorcycle headed south at around 10:30 p.m. The driver and the passenger in the pickup had got out to offer assistance to the couple on the motorcycle when an SUV travelling south crashed into the collision scene. The 51-year-old male driver of the motorcycle along with his 47-year-old female passenger and the 47-year-old female passenger of the pickup truck were all killed. All three were from Maskwacis. The driver of the pickup truck, as well as the driver and three passengers of the SUV, was not injured.
