The schools and horses are big draws to Fairfields, an equestrianinspired development in King.

It appeals to those with a high standard for quality and who “are accustomed to the finer things in life,” says listing agent Paul McDonald.

The private, luxury community is close to premiere schools, including the Country Day School and St. Andrews Boys School, he says. “There’s not another equestrian development like it. The stables are world class and are privately owned and operated. Residents can board their horses there for a fee.”

Set in the community of architecturally controlled houses, 3 Norcliffe is nineyear-old grand Georgianstyle home with five bedrooms and five bathrooms. It has 10-foot ceilings, a Falcon kitchen and “sumptuous ensuite bathrooms in all of the bedrooms,” says co-listing agent Jayrene Thomson.

The eat-in kitchen has top-of-the-line appliances and a pantry. Crown mouldings and a gas fireplace are offered in the living and dining rooms. The great room, complete with a stone fireplace, has a bay window.

The master suite blends style, convenience and luxury. It has his-and-hers closets and en-suite bathrooms, plus a main-floor location.

An oak-panelled library, a cosy space with a gas fireplace, is also on the main floor.

The family bedrooms share the second floor with a loft with a gas fireplace and a four-piece en-suite bathroom. The lower level has a recreation room.

For the horsey set, the classical limestone stables feature a courtyard, Palladian windows, a cathedral ceiling for better ventilation, large custom-made stalls and herringbone patterned floors all in the European tradition, says the stables’ website.

“The architecture complements and enhances the integrity of the surrounding country estates.”

The Stables offers an indoor and outdoor arena, as well as bridle paths.

In addition to the riding, the area also offers golfing, shopping and major arteries leading to cottage country or the city.

Fairfields is at Dufferin Street and Bloomington Road in King City, home to a variety of amenities. Seneca College is also nearby.
