Two Canadian women on way to fa Cup final

Canadian internationals Janine Beckie and Adriana Leon are headed to the SSE Women’s FA Cup final. Beckie’s Manchester City advanced Sunday by defeating defending champion Chelsea via a Magdalena Eriksson own-goal in second-half stoppage time. Beckie, a dual Canadian-u.s. citizen whose parents are from Saskatchewan, came off the bench in the 67th minute in Man City. In High Wycombe, substitute Leon did her part in West Ham’s 4-3 penalty shootout win over reading. Leon, 26, of King City, Ont., made it 2-1 for the Hammers in the shootout.
