1. Head to Ossington to join the line at Bang Bang for an ice- cream sandwich (with flavours like orange cardamom and cinnamon toast) on freshly baked cookies. Addictive picks: oatmeal date raisin or dark chocolate sablé.

2. Need groceries? Metro and Fresh Co. are nearly across the street — or walk 10 minutes to Liberty Village ( there’s another Metro there) where there’s a mix of restaurants, cafés and furniture shops. The Local has excellent bar food and a casual vibe, or hit up the divine Mildred’s Temple Kitchen for upscale fare.

3. Whether you want to swim, play tennis, picnic, walk your dog or people-watch, Trinity Bellwoods is where it’s at. It’s jammed during the summer. Don’t forget to BYOB ( Bring Your Own Blanket).
