Catching the gravy train

-

Re: Liberals, Tories, NDP all seeking wage subsidy, May 23 Of the five federal political parties, only one, the Bloc Québécois, appears to show leadership, and caring for the Canadian economy. The other four parties were quick to get on the gravy train and apply for government wage subsidies for their political staff. To heck with having the taxpayers foot the bill.

It the government is so intent on restarting the Canadian economy, instead of giving gifts to everyone in the country, it should simply suspend the Goods and Services Tax ( GST) for a few months. This measure would have a significant stimulus on the economy, and it would benefit everyone equally and fairly. Roger Cyr, Victoria
