Bill Murray heard from the Doobie Brothers’ lawyer after allegedly using their music in a golf shirt ad without permission. Listen to the Music was in an ad for his William Murray line of Zero Hucks Given shirts — prompting the band’s attorney, Peter T. Paterno, to write, in part: “It’s a fine song. I know you agree because you keep using it. However, given that you haven’t paid to use it, maybe you should change the company name to ‘ Zero Bucks Given.’ ”
