Ignore these busybodies

Re: Chastised for helping during pandemic, Marni Soupcoff, Sept. 25

Marni Soupcoff ’s excellent column decrying the efforts of NCD Alliance and the Spectrum Organization to criticize helpful gestures during the pandemic highlights an important issue — a group of self- appointed “experts” who would like to tell everyone what to eat, and erode yet another basic freedom of choice. Who funds these busybodies? And why aren’t they helping the frontline workers instead of criticizing those who do — by organizing the kind of help they feel is necessary?
