COVID- 1 9 hits NFL’ s Titans
The NFL’S first COVID-19 scare of the young 2020 season might scrap two games this week. The league and the NFL Players Association on Tuesday morning jointly confirmed reports that three Tennessee Titans players, plus five Titans club personnel, have tested positive for COVID-19. The Titans defeated the Vikings 31- 30 this past Sunday at U. S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis. Both the Titans and Vikings immediately closed their work places early Tuesday morning. Per reports, all players, coaches and team personnel upon arrival at team headquarters were tested for COVID-19, then directed to turn around and return straight to their respective homes, and isolate. There was no immediate word from the league or the players union, nor from the Titans or Vikings, as to the chances their respective games this week will be played. On Sunday, Tennessee is scheduled to host Pittsburgh, while the Vikings are to play in Houston.
