Shopify shuffles C-suite as longtime executive departs

Toby Shannan, who currently runs Shopify’s support division, will become chief operating officer. Chief executive Tobi Lutke will step into the role of leading product after the exit of Craig Miller, who joined the firm in September 2011 from Kijiji and led marketing for nearly seven years, The Logic reports. While Lutke has been increasingly visible amid the company’s skyrocketing stock performance, Harley Finkelstein has often served as Shopify’s face. The CEO’S role change comes as Ottawa- based Shopify prepares to roll out its fulfilment network and the launch of a business bank account.
