NFL POSTPONES TITANS - VIKINGS GAME

- John Kryk,

The NFL announced Thursday it’s postponed a game between the Pittsburgh Steelers and Tennessee Titans due to a small but growing COVID-19 outbreak. It is the first NFL regular-season game to be rescheduled because of the coronavirus. This, after one additional Tennessee player and one additional team-personnel member tested positive. Four Titans players and seven team personnel have tested positive since the weekend. On Tuesday, the NFL and NFL Players Association — whose respective medical leaders make all important league decisions touching on player health — ordered the Titans and Minnesota Vikings (the Titans’ opponent last Sunday) to shut down team facilities and suspend all in-person team activities. The Vikings’ game Sunday afternoon at the Houston Texans is on, the NFL said Thursday. Furthermore, Tuesday’s NFL/ NFLPA edict banning the Vikings from gathering, meeting or practising has been lifted, the league said. The Vikings said through Thursday no player or team members since Sunday had tested positive for COVID-19.
