Kravitz’s latest creation is His dream Piano

Lenny Kravitz, pictured, is all keyed up about his latest musical creation. The rocker has teamed up with Steinway & Sons to design a piano that blends Art deco and Art Moderne styles with elements of traditional African art. “The piano was the first instrument I fell in love with,” Kravitz wrote on Instagram. “For the design, I wanted to combine european style with an African motif to create a beautiful blend.” The piano is covered in black geometric markings, its bench boasts cheetah-print upholstery and its poplar legs are reminiscent of West African sculptures. Steinway & Sons will make 10 pianos, each of which takes about 200 hours to complete. Priced at us$500,000, part of the proceeds go to the Harlem School for the Arts, where Kravitz studied in his youth.
