2021 Mirage keeps starting price low

- Coleman Molnar

Mitsubishi has released Canadian pricing for the 2021 Mirage, confirming its compact hatchback will remain one of the most affordable new cars in the country.

Prices start at $ 13,858 for the entry- level ES MT trim, which includes climate control, LED rear lights, rearview camera, Bluetooth, seven airbags and more.

The 2021 edition is Canada’s most fuel- efficient gas- powered non- hybrid, with a rating of 6.2 litres/100 kilometres.

The ES with a CVT will be $ 15,058, and next up is the SE model, at $ 17,158. Mitsubishi says this is the most popular trim selection, because it adds 14- inch alloy wheels, a new seven- inch display screen ( up from six inches last year) and a new driver’s seat armrest to the base CVT trim.

At the top of the line is the $ 20,150 GT, which piles on the tech and style features, including LED headlights, 15- inch alloy wheels, heated front seats, a heated leather- wrapped steering wheel and heated side mirrors. Safety features such as lane- departure warning, auto high beams and forward- collision mitigation are also included.

The 2021 Mirage will arrive at dealers in January as one of the most affordable ways into a new vehicle in Canada.
