Katie Couric set to guest host Jeopardy! for week
Journalist Katie Couric will be the next guest host of Jeopardy! following the death of Alex Trebek, The Los Angeles Times reports. She will step behind the podium for a week’s worth of episodes. Jeopardy! execs previously announced the show will feature guest hosts until they find a permanent replacement for Trebek. It’s unclear how long Couric — who’s best known for working on the Today show, CBS Evening News and her daytime series Katie — will be in the position. However, former Jeopardy! champion Ken Jennings is also confirmed to guest-host the game show. Trebek remains on television screens as his final episodes — which were filmed last year — are airing this week. His final show will be broadcast on Friday, after hosting more than 8,200 episodes.
