ELECTRIC SUV CORVETTE ON WAY?

General Motors may turn its flagship sports car model, the Corvette, into its own model range, starting with an electric SUV variant, just as Ford did with its mustang mach-e, according to Bloomberg reports. Sources close to the project say the upcoming vehicle is internally referred to as Project r, but what that letter stands for is unknown. gm has announced it will release 30 new ev models by 2030 as part of its push toward electrification. the entire Corvette team was reassigned to electric and autonomous vehicles in September 2020. gm spokespeople declined to comment on the report.
