Two FBI Agents killed In Florida Child-porn raid
WASHINGTON Two FBI agents were killed and another three were wounded during an early-morning raid on Tuesday at a Sunrise, Fla., apartment as they were executing a court-ordered search warrant, the FBI said.
The shooting occurred at 6 a.m. as a team of law enforcement officers were looking to seize evidence from a suspect in connection with a child pornography investigation, FBI Agents Association president brian O’hare said.
The subject of the warrant also died, it said.
None of the victims were identified. The FBI said two wounded agents were in stable condition at nearby hospitals and the shooting was under investigation.
Sunrise is in South Florida’s broward County, northwest of Fort Lauderdale.
The agency’s most recent shooting death occurred in 2008, when Special Agent Samuel Hicks was killed near Pittsburgh.
