CAREY’S SISTER SUES OVER DISHING FAMILY DIRT IN MEMOIR

Mariah Carey’s sister is suing her after the release of her 2020 memoir, The Meaning of Mariah Carey. Alison Carey is seeking us$1.25 million in a court summons filed Monday in New york. She alleges that Mariah, shown, intentiona­lly inflicted “emotional distress” on her by including several family stories in her memoir, People reports. describing Mariah as “heartless, vicious (and) vindictive,” Alison alleges she’s fallen back into alcohol abuse since the book’s September release. She specifical­ly disputes a story in which Mariah said Alison gave her Valium, tried to “pimp her out and threw a cup of boiling hot tea on her.” The summons says that during her youth, Alison herself faced abuse from her mother, resulting in PTSD, anxiety and depression.
