sunni liston briefly stepped out of her doggie daycare van on tuesday in Portland, ore., to lift a client’s pet out of the back. Before she could even shut the van’s rear door, a man slipped into the front seat and turned the key that was still in the ignition. “i was pretty panicked,” said liston, 60. her phone, purse and 12 dogs in the van and were gone. thanks to quick thinking by liston’s employees, though, this dognapping had a happy ending. an employee logged into an iphone-tracking app to locate liston’s phone. less than an hour after the van was taken, the van was spotted. the driver fled, but the dogs were safe.
