“even during COVID-19 there were 25 showings in one week and there were three competing offers,” says listing agent Marci Koifman. It sold for 107 per cent of the asking price in eight days. “It was a quick sale for the area.”

The approximately 35-year-old brick home had been completely renovated by the previous owner, and the current seller also did a lot of upgrades when she bought it in 2014, she says.

The 39x98-foot property is in a family-oriented area near schools and shopping. It’s also close to parks, including york Hill district Park, shopping malls and Highway 407.

“Sales have definitely picked up in the 905 since the pandemic as people work from home and don’t need to be near the downtown core,” Koifman says. “This area of Thornhill really has a mixed bag — some smaller homes and some large homes. This is about average size for the area.”
