Breadvan homage
a dutch coachbuilder has taken a hacksaw to one of Ferrari’s most beautiful creations and built a well-executed but polarizing homage to Ferrari’s weirdest race car: the 250 gt ‘breadvan.’ the original 1961 Ferrari 250 gt breadvan was a custom race car built by coachbuilder bizzarrini, styled to make the 250 Swb more aerodynamic. the kammback design became known as the breadvan because of its resemblance to, well, a bread van. Now Niels van roij design in the Netherlands has taken that theme and applied it to a 1990s-era 550 maranello — one of the prettiest Ferrari vehicles of all time. the entire rear tail of the new breadvan is shaped out of aluminum, and bears no shut lines.
