COCAINE WORTH $325M HIDDEN IN BANANA CRATES
british police seized 2.3 tonnes of cocaine in one of england’s largest drug busts after they found $325 million worth of the drug packed into banana crates shipped from Colombia. Ten men were arrested in North London.
The cocaine arrived in 41 pallets, disguised as a legitimate consignment of bananas on a cargo ship. Police removed the drugs before the pallets were delivered to an industrial estate, where officers swooped and made five arrests. The other five men were arrested at a different industrial estate.
All the men, aged between 21 and 56, are in custody and have been charged with the importation of Class A drugs.
