It has been said that the only vice which cannot be forgiven is hypocrisy.

Putting aside arguments about climate change reality, denial or unjustified alarmism, reneging on a pledge to never introduce a carbon tax and then abruptly changing course does significant damage to Erin O’toole’s leadership. He may never recover. Dan Mailer, London, Ont.
