The owners renovated their home, intending “to never leave,” says listing agent Kaija Pitt. But they had to move out of province for work and “were sad to sell their home.”

The centre-hall plan home offers more than 3,675 square feet of living space and has windows on all sides that let the sunshine in, Pitt says. “The sunroom/family room is bright all day long as it faces south, and it has a walkout to a new deck, where many days and evenings are spent with family and friends.”

The residence has been updated and renovated throughout, including converting the garage into a mud room with a separate entrance off the private driveway. It has heated slate floors, custom coat closets, cubbies with hooks, built-in shelves and a wraparound bench. A fourth bedroom and ensuite bathroom were added above the new mud room.

The kitchen has a breakfast bar, granite counter tops and a stone backsplash. A pantry closet is a handy feature.

Hardwood floors, a beamed ceiling, original plate rail and a bay window are highlights of the dining room.

All of the bathrooms have heated flooring. “It is these extras that owners can add and that go far when selling a home,” she says. The windows were all replaced.

Lower-level features include a media room with a gas fireplace and a heated floor, an arts and crafts area, a bedroom, a three-piece bathroom and a laundry room.

The 100x45-foot property has space to park two cars.

Pitt says, “This is an incredible family home in the Casa Loma pocket…we had a lot of showings and ended up with five offers on offer day. It was definitely families that were interested in this home.”
