LIVELY TOUTS ALCOHOL-FREE MIXERS IN NEW LINE

Actress Blake Lively created her non-alcoholic line of mixers because she’s sick of feeling left out at parties where everyone else has booze. Lively, shown, launched the line, Betty Buzz, in September to help her fit in at social gatherings where she wasn’t drinking. “I don’t drink because I don’t like the effects of alcohol, but I like being a part of it,” she told People magazine. “I like being social. I like people coming together.” She says the flavours — Tonic Water, Sparkling Grapefruit, Meyer Lemon Club Soda, Sparkling Lemon Lime, and Ginger Beer — are great without alcohol. But adding just a drop or two is also an option, she says. “It gives it a flavour, but it’s not going to give it a sort of experience — well, it’ll give it a flavour experience, but not (much) alcohol,” she said.
