GENESIS X CONCEPT REVEALED
Concept vehicles are peculiar. Sometimes occasional tweaks get made while the concept hasn’t been given the green light for production. That is the case with the Genesis X concept, a new version of which showed up at the auto show in New York. The Genesis styling department, headed by designer Luc Donckerwolke, made this iteration of the X even more appealing, and dubbed it: the Speedium Coupe. Fans are hopeful its redesigned roofline, updated lighting elements, and new grille will appear on the brand’s new EVS. Is it a coupe? A two-door hatchback? A shooting brake? It can be anything you want it to be, until it gets pushed into dealerships. Other design elements of the Speedium Coupe include a swooping ducktail-style rear spoiler, a rear body-colour panel bracketed by triangular light bars, and a lower front fascia with wider mesh intakes Donckerwolke described the coupe as a creative exercise.
