Award paves way for young Saskatoon business owners to grow

-

Prestige Paving Stones, a Saskatoon-based paving stone installation company is the fourth of six winners of ADP Canada’s small business grant contest, picking up $10,000 plus payroll services for a year. Run by two university students and long-time friends, Joel Howlett and Kale Wudrich, Prestige prides itself on providing excellent customer service and creativity. The biggest challenge Prestige faced getting established was having no busi- ness or marketing experience. “Winning the contest means we’ll be able to buy a new trailer and update the equipment,” Mr. Howlett said. “We’ll also be able to expand our business and add more employees for the busy months.” Since its 2009 launch, Prestige has expanded to seven full-time employees and several part-time workers in the summer months.
